Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: [April 2026]

SideHustlz believes in being upfront with our readers about how we make money. This page explains, in plain English, how affiliate links and partnerships work on https://sidehustlz.com (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by SideHustlz.

This Affiliate Disclosure should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Disclaimer.

1. What Affiliate Links Are

An affiliate link is a special tracking link to a product, platform, or service offered by another company. When you click an affiliate link on SideHustlz and then sign up, subscribe, or make a purchase on that company’s website, the company pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise. The commission comes out of the company’s marketing budget, not your pocket.

Some examples of how affiliate links may appear on SideHustlz:

  • A “Sign up for [Platform]” button or text link inside a review article;
  • An image of a product or platform logo that links to a sign-up page;
  • A “Get started” link in a how-to guide or list post;
  • A link in our newsletter pointing to a tool or service we recommend.

Some links on the Site are not affiliate links — they are simply references to a source, an official policy page, or a useful resource. We do not earn anything from those.

2. Why We Use Affiliate Links

Running SideHustlz takes time, money, and ongoing effort. Hosting, software, research tools, design, editing, and the dozens of hours that go into each in-depth review are all real costs. Affiliate commissions are one of the ways we keep the Site free for readers and free of paywalls.

If you find an article useful and decide to sign up through one of our links, you are directly supporting independent writing on side hustles and online income. Thank you — it genuinely matters.

3. Programs and Networks We Participate In

SideHustlz participates in a number of affiliate programs and networks, which may include (this list is not exhaustive and changes over time):

  • Amazon Associates Program
  • Impact
  • ShareASale
  • CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction)
  • Awin
  • PartnerStack
  • Rakuten Advertising
  • ClickBank
  • Direct affiliate or referral programs operated by individual platforms (such as freelance marketplaces, rental marketplaces, digital-product platforms, and software tools mentioned in our articles).

Amazon Associates notice: As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases.

4. Our Editorial Standards

Affiliate income never decides what we recommend. Our editorial process follows three firm rules:

  • Recommendations are earned, not sold. A platform either earns its place in our content based on its merits — earning potential, working conditions, fees, and risk — or it does not get linked. Paying us a higher commission does not move a platform up in our rankings.
  • No quid-pro-quo reviews. If an affiliate manager asks us to soften a negative review or remove a critical sentence in exchange for staying in their program, we decline. We have done this before and we will continue to do it.
  • Honest pros and cons. Even for platforms we recommend and earn from, we publish the downsides we found in our research or testing. Pretending a platform is perfect would mislead our readers and break their trust.

If we ever cannot independently verify a product or platform, we say so in the article rather than pad a review with affiliate-friendly fluff.

5. How Affiliate Links Are Disclosed

In addition to this page, we disclose affiliate relationships in two more places to make sure no reader is ever caught off guard:

  • At the top of articles that contain affiliate links, you will see a short disclosure note such as: “This post contains affiliate links. If you sign up or make a purchase through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.”
  • Newsletter emails that contain affiliate links include a similar one-line notice.

You will never have to dig to figure out whether a link earns us money — if it does, we say so.

6. Sponsored Content and Paid Partnerships

From time to time, SideHustlz may publish sponsored content or paid partnership posts. When that happens:

  • The post will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” “Paid partnership,” or with similar unambiguous wording at the top of the article;
  • We retain editorial control over the wording, including the right to mention drawbacks;
  • We only accept sponsorships from products and services we would feel comfortable recommending to a friend.

Sponsored content is rare on SideHustlz and is always separated from our regular editorial coverage.

7. Display Advertising

In addition to affiliate income, SideHustlz may display advertisements through third-party advertising networks such as Google AdSense or similar partners. These ads are served automatically based on the advertising network’s targeting and are not editorial endorsements. The presence of any ad on a page does not mean we recommend the advertiser, and we do not control which specific ads appear. For more information about how advertising data is handled, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Your Choice

You are never under any obligation to use an affiliate link on SideHustlz. If you would prefer not to, you can always:

  • Type the platform’s URL directly into your browser;
  • Search for the platform by name on Google;
  • Use a private or incognito window so no referral cookie is set.

Any of these will get you to the same product or service without involving us. We will not be offended — we would rather have your trust than your click.

9. No Endorsement or Guarantee

A link on SideHustlz, affiliate or otherwise, is not a guarantee that a platform is right for you. The right side hustle, tool, or platform depends on your goals, your country, your skills, and your tolerance for risk. Always read the platform’s own terms before you sign up, and never invest money or time you cannot afford to lose. For the broader limitations on the information we publish, please see our Disclaimer.

10. Questions, Corrections, and Removal Requests

If you are a brand or affiliate manager and you would like to discuss a partnership, correct an inaccuracy in one of our articles, or request a link be reviewed, email hello@sidehustlz.com with the subject line “Affiliate / Editorial.” We respond to legitimate requests within a few business days.

If you are a reader and you have a question about how affiliate income works on SideHustlz, we would love to hear from you at the same address.

11. Changes to This Affiliate Disclosure

We may update this Affiliate Disclosure from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Disclosure.
